I had a lovely stay at the Newbury Guest House, with its charming location right in the heart of Back Bay. I appreciated the clean and cozy accommodations, though I found the bathroom a bit small and the breakfast could use more variety. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making my experience even better. Overall, it was a good experience but with a few minor areas for improvement.

The breakfast was fine, with fresh baked goods, but I wished there were more fruit options. It was a nice perk to have included breakfast, though.

The complementary coffee and tea available all day were a nice touch. I found the hotel itself to have a charming, historic atmosphere.

My stay at the Newbury Guest House was good, with a charming atmosphere and a fantastic location. The staff were welcoming and went out of their way to assist me. However, the breakfast options could have been more varied, and the shower design was a bit inconvenient at times.

I had a lovely stay at Newbury Guest House. It felt super cozy and had that charming historical vibe. While the room was a bit on the small side, it was clean and comfortable, even if the air conditioning struggled a bit during the heat. The location is unbeatable, right in the middle of the action on Newbury Street, with plenty of dining options nearby.

Rooms

My room was snug with two beds, a chair, and a small desk, but it was well-kept. The bathroom was modern and fresh, which I really appreciated. I did overlook the alley, which wasn't great for views but I got to see the historic buildings on Commonwealth Avenue.
Service
8.0
The staff were super friendly and helped out with local recommendations. They really made me feel welcome. However, when I asked for an extra air conditioning unit, it never showed up, which was a bit of a bummer when it was sweltering outside.
Location

You can't beat the location! Right on Newbury Street, there's no shortage of cafes, shops, and restaurants. Plus, it was easy to hop on the T or walk to major attractions in Boston. It really made exploring the city a breeze.
Dining

While the hotel doesn't have a full restaurant, the French place downstairs was a nice option. Breakfast included decent choices, but I wish they’d had some pastries available with the coffee service in the morning.
Facilities

I appreciated the common areas, especially with complimentary snacks and drinks available 24/7. The lobby was a nice touch with a chessboard, providing a cozy place to hang out.

I had a generally nice stay at the Newbury Guest House, enjoying its prime location and comfortable room. However, I was a bit disappointed with the room size, which wasn't quite what I expected. The breakfast offerings were good but could get crowded at times. Overall, I'd return for the atmosphere and the excellent staff, despite the minor setbacks.

Rooms
7.0
My room was comfortable and clean, but it was on the smaller side, not as spacious as I anticipated. I was hoping for the luxurious feel depicted in the photos, especially since I booked a deluxe room. Overall, it was well-maintained but a bit lacking in size.
Service
9.0
The staff was exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to assist me during my stay. They provided local recommendations that enhanced my experience, and I appreciated their quick response to any needs I had.
Location
10.0
The location of the guest house is fantastic, right on Newbury Street. I loved being able to walk to shops and restaurants, and even Fenway Park was just a stroll away. It's central to everything I wanted to see in Boston.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast options were plentiful and varied, although the dining space could get busy, making it hard to find a seat at peak times. I enjoyed the selection available, but having a breakfast facility on-site would have been a bonus.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had nice common areas with complimentary coffee and tea available at all times, which was a nice touch. However, there was some construction noise during my stay, which disrupted the otherwise cozy atmosphere.
